Description

American League alumni are collected, with this Hall of Fame and star player multi-signed OAL/MacPhail baseball. With more than half of the signers having suited up in New York Yankees pinstripes at some point during their active playing careers, it's possible this ball was signed at a Yankees Old Timers Day event in the late-1970s, or early-1980s. The signatures on the south, east and west panels of this ball remain fairly distinct, while those on the north panel are faded, yet readily discernible. Fortunately, the highlight signatures of Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Mel Allen, and Johnny Mize are among the most distinct examples.

East panel: Mel Allen (HOF), Charlie Keller, Ken Keltner, Dean Chance, Johnny Mize (HOF);
