Lot # 1682: Joe Namath Signed Wilson Official NFL Football - JSA LOA

Joe Namath’s name was all over the news because of his lavish lifestyle, when he predicted that his team would win the 1969 Super Bowl. The upstart American Football League had already lost the 1st two Super Bowls to the established National Football League, so that outcome seamed very unlikely. Then the New York Jets defeated the Baltimore Colts 16 to 7, a victory that is still considered one of the greatest upsets in sports history.

This Wilson Official NFL/Roselle two-tone football has a Joe Namath signature (“8”) on the white panel below the laces with the flair of “Broadway Joe.”
