Hall of Fame manager Connie Mack kept busy writing to an acquaintance during a rain out, with this 1944 signed handwritten letter. Mack and his Philadelphia A's were visiting the New York Yankees, when he penned this 4/27/44 correspondence on a 6" x 9" sheet of Hotel New Yorker letterhead. Though somewhat wrinkled, this letter remains crisp and suitable for framing. Mack (d.1956) has concluded his writing with a neatly applied ("9") strength signature. The letter's content has a personal tone, including the acknowledgement of having received a post card sent by the addressee's brothers from Mexico.
