Description

Bill Terry proclaimed his greatest personal achievements, with this signed and inscribed baseball. A career .341 hitter, Terry remains the last National League player to bat .400, a feat he accomplished in 1930 when he finished the season with a .401 average. A member of the Hall of Fame Class of 1954, Terry played his entire career with the New York Giants from 1923-1936, and also served as the team's manager from 1932-1941. Terry (d.1989) has signed the offered ONL/Giamatti ball on the sweet spot, with ("8.5") strength, and he has included the proud inscriptions "HOF 1930 .401".
