Description

Picture yourself as the owner of this circa 1940s Joe DiMaggio original news service photograph, and make it happen. Coming off four consecutive World Series championships from 1936-1939, the Yankees continued their great success during the 1940s, and DiMaggio was a big part of it. On top of the four World Series rings he won during his first four years in pinstripes, "Joltin' Joe" added three more championships in the '40s, and also picked up his second and third MVP awards. There was also his remarkable 56-game in 1941, and were it not for three seasons lost to military service, his awards collection would likely have been even bigger. This 5x7 close-up portrait sees the Hall of Fame slugger in his Yankees uniform. A nice period prize from DiMaggio's active playing days, this photograph is encapsulated by PSA/DNA with a (Type I Authentic) designation.
