Description

An ancient broadcasting team is remembered, with the presentation of this Mel Ott and Van Patrick dual-signed baseball. Patrick (d.1974) was a play-calling staple for the Detroit Lions and Tigers. Hall of Fame slugger Ott joined him in the Tigers' booth from 1956, until his untimely demise from an automobile accident in 1958. While the factory labeling on this baseball is barely visible to the naked eye, it has been determined to be an OAL/Harridge model. The two signatures are slightly faded, but they remain readily discernible.
