Description

Be your own super-hero in the battle for this 7/54 Atlas Comics Captain America Comics #77 issue. This tough issue is one of just three published under the rebranded Atlas banner, and demand runs strong. While this short-lived Atlas revival saw the title changed to "Captain America, Commie Smasher", the cover is in keeping with the action-packed layouts often seen fronting WWII era issues. One of John Romita's earliest super-hero works, the front cover is a raucous fight scene, with dynamic renderings of Cap and Bucky by the fledgling artist. CGC has assigned this scarce Golden age comic book a satisfying grade of 4.0, Off-White Pages. Label notes are "Dick Ayers, Ernie Bache and Carl Burgos art, John Romita cover and art. Human Torch story.".
