Description

As stated in Phil Wood’s detailed Letter of Authenticity, “This is quite clearly an authentic first year Seattle Mariners jersey. Despite the team number and name change, first year franchise uniforms are quite desirable.” This home jersey #29 is a size 42 by Wilson's Sporting Goods pullover style with the manufacturers tag in the collar and the left outer shirttail shows the year tag, “21 77.” The jersey was originally #21 worn by shortstop Tom McMillan, who appeared in two games for the Mariners in 1977, and was repurposed as #29 for pitcher Tom House, who was sold to Seattle 5/28/77. House went 4-5, 3.93, in 26 games, 11 starts.
