Description

Manning baseball’s most challenging position, Johnny Bench mastered the arts of launching home runs, and styling some serious sideburns, all to the great amazement of 1970s fans. Here the Hall of Fame backstop is rendered in art form, with this single-signed, hand-painted baseball. Reporting in nicely preserved state, this ONL/Feeney baseball is adorned with a vibrant portrait of Bench wearing his Cincinnati Reds “Big Red Machine” era cap. The artwork retains great integrity, and the artist has identified herself as “Nancy”, near the stitches to the right of Bench’s ear. Bench has further graced this ball with a firm signature, located directly below the artwork.
