Lot # 857: Joe Jackson Cut Signature Signed by Wife Katie Jackson – Full JSA LOA

Joe Jackson’s wife Katie stood in for him in authoring this cut signature. While Jackson showed a marvelous array of skills on the baseball field, his writing abilities were far less substantial. It is well-documented that Katie wrote and signed most of Joe’s letters, while also satisfying fan autograph requests. Sized at 3” x 1-1/2”, the offered signature is both neat and distinct. Mrs. Jackson has included the salutation “Yours Very Truly”, suggesting the cut may have be taken from a letter.
