Lot # 917: Thurman Munson Cut Signature Framed Display - SGC/JSA

A heroic New York Yankees captain that met an untimely fate is spotlighted, with the presentation of this Thurman Munson cut signature in framed display. Munson was a key man in the Yankees memorable drive to consecutive World Series championships in 1977 and 1978. Tragically, Munson's life came to an end in a 1979 private plane crash, while still in active at the age of thirthy-two . This handsome display piece has overall dimensions of 14” x 18”. Housed within are an 8” x 10” photograph of Munson attired in the “tools of ignorance”, and a 3” x 1-1/2” cut with a distinct Munson signature. The cut in encapsulated in a visible SGC/JSA holder, with an Authentic Autograph designation.
