Description

A fresh-faced Mickey Mantle shows up, with this signed 1988 MLBPA photograph. This shot was originally taken in September of 1956, by photographer Ray Gallo. Flashing a big smile, Mickey looks perfectly relaxed in the New York Yankees dugout, You’d be smiling big too, if you had the kind of year the Hall of Fame slugger had in ’56, when he earned his first of three AL MVP awards, on the strength of a Triple Crown season. Mantle has planted a bold signature just above the letters of his jersey, on this appealing 8” x 10” photograph. Gallo’s credit is positioned at bottom-right, above a 1988 MLB logo.
