Description

Charismatic New York Yankees Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle was a natural for endorsements, and he leant his approval to an unimaginable number of products and services. Mantle proved his worth as an advertising pitchman, rising to the challenge of making a mundane life insurance company sound good. Served up is proof of his high wattage appeal, in the form of this signed circa 1980s Reserve Life Insurance Company promotional card. Mantle is depicted flashing a big smile on the obverse of this 4" x 6" card, which lists his career summary and stats on the reverse. Mantle has signed resolutely on the obverse with a "Best Wishes" greeting, by means of a blue felt-tip pen.
