Rising from the deepest depths of obscurity, is this 3/42 Timely Comics Tough Kid Squad #1 issue. This seldom seen comic is the one and only issue published for this title. Overstreet cites this #1 issue as scarce, and based on currently available copies, this designation seems conservative. The Tough Kid Squad makes its first appearance in this super-tough Golden Age comic, and a back-up story is centered on the first appearance and origin of the Human Top. Syd Shores provided the captivating cover, and Al Gabriele and Mike Sekowsky did the artwork. Leading certification CGC has rated this book 1.8, Tan to Off-White Pages.
