Description

Before a crowd of 12,000 at the Baker Bowl, the New York Giants defeated the hometown Philadelphia Phillies 10-7 to capture the first game of the 1919 season. The offered Phillies vs. Giants scorecard is a scarce 16-page publication from that April 23rd meeting. Despite vertical folding creases and perimeter cover wear, the inner pages of this survivor are tightly attached to the staple binding and the scorecard noting two Hall of Famers (Bancroft and Youngs) is lightly pencil marked.
