Description

Things aren't looking good for Bucky, on the front cover of this 5/47 Timely Comics Captain America Comics #62 issue. Captain America's loyal sidekick is trussed up by a couple of blonde Amazon-like warriors dragging him to a third of their kind, who awaits to deliver a fatal blow with her razor-sharp axe. Looking on are the diabolical Black Baron and the alluring Queenie, who watch from their shared throne in "The Kingdom of Terror". This masterpiece cover was rendered by artist Syd Shores. Stan Lee and Otto Binder wrote the stories for this issue, and Al Avison and Carmine Infantino did the artwork. CGC has graded this vintage comic 3.0, Cream to Off-White Pages, and were it not for hole punches next to the spine, this book would have graded a good bit higher, perhaps 7.0, give or take a little. Label notes are "Otto Binder and Stan Lee stories, Al Avison and Carmine Infantino art, Syd Shores cover and art. Human Torch backup story.".
