Description

This Clark Griffith signed letter is notable for its exquisite calligraphy-style steel-tip fountain pen signature by the Hall of Fame executive (“9-10”). The type-written letter on “Washington Base Ball Club” letterhead is dated January 4th, 1929, and addressed to Mr. Willie Thornton of Akron, Ohio. The letter grades Very Good to Excellent with two folds, one which goes through the signature.
