Recall a jersey style Hank Aaron made forever famous, with this 1972 Jim Nash game-used Atlanta Braves first-year pullover home jersey. A once promising hurler with the Kansas City/Oakland A's, Nash was dealing with a sore shoulder at this point, and 1972 turned out to be his final MLB season. A couple of seasons later, Aaron belted his historic 715th home run, while wearing this polyester pullover jersey type. Nash's number "23" is seen on the front below the Braves lettering, and the number is repeated in larger patches on the back. Seen inside the collar are two Medalist Industries Sand-Knit labels indicating the size "46", the laundry instructions, and the legend "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Atlanta Braves". Affixed below the factory labels, is a Braves clubhouse tag embroidered with "72 - Set 5", for the year and uniform set number. The accompanying LOA states "Jersey is overall in good condition, showing solid wear and some minor staining". Sweat staining is readily recognized around the collar, along the side seams, sleeve openings and across the back, along with some sporadic minor soiling. There are single red, white and blue feather patches on both sleeves, and blue accents that extend up onto the shoulders. The patch and accent colors remain vibrant, and the jersey has a great look of period authenticity.
