The "Big Red Machine" got their first taste of success in 1970, when they captured the National League pennant. This triumph earned them the right to face the Baltimore Orioles in the 1970 World Series. From the site of this memorable Fall Classic, comes this selection of (15) Cincinnati Reds 1970 World Series full ticket blocks. Each of these blocks is comprised with (2) unused tickets, which were good for Games 1 and 2 at Cincinnati's Riverfront Stadium. The Reds had moved into their new home stadium mid-season, and these tickets are printed with the legend "New Riverfront Stadium" on an illustration of the "cookie-cutter" venue. Also seen on these clean, attractive tickets, are the Reds mascot logo, and the facsimile signature of commissioner Bowie Kuhn. The only sign of attrition on these (30) total tickets, is light to moderate corner wear, and overall they range (VG-EX to EX-MT) in condition. The locations are for consecutive seats, all in Aisle 359, with (4) Row 8 seats; (7) Row 9 seats; and (4) Row 10 seats. While the Reds would go on to win back-to-back World Series championships in 1975-1976, they were victimized in this contest by Brooks "the Human Vacuum Cleaner" Robinson, and the O's dominant pitching staff.
