A seldom seen treasure from the 1988 MLB All-Star Game surfaces, with the arrival of this ring-top pendant. The 1988 Mid-Summer Classic was held at Riverfront Stadium on 1/12/88. Sporting the same design as seen on the face of the rings given to the participating players, this pendant charm was likely intended for non-playing personal from the host Cincinnati Reds franchise, or the perhaps players’ significant others. Sized at approximately 3/4" square, this 20th Century keepsake is rimmed in relief lettering with the legend “Major League All-Star”. The face is adorned with a gold baseball design over a field of a garnet-like faux stone. A hanging hoop is positioned at 12 o’clock, and condition is very pleasing.
