Description

Talented relief pitcher Steve Howe put out plenty of fires on the baseball diamond, but he just couldn’t quench his thirst for substance abuse, which resulted in seven suspensions during his twelve year MLB career. From Howe’s first MLB team, comes this signed Los Angeles Dodgers cap. Labeling on the interior sweatband identifies the size as “7-3/8”, and the maker as “New Era”. Howe’s uniform number “57” is written boldly on the underside of the cracked brim, which is soiled and stained on both sides. Also seen on the underside of the brim is a somewhat faded, yet clearly recognizable Howe signature. The Dodgers logo is located at the customary position on the crown, which also shows considerable soiling and staining. Abundant signs of authentic use/wear are evident, and the hat retains a decent shape, well-suited for display. Howe died at the age of 48, in 2006, when he rolled his truck while driving in Coachella.
