Description

Double down on Washington Nationals legend Ryan Zimmerman, with these (2) 2006-2007 game-used bats. Following a stellar collegiate career at the University of Virginia, “Mr. National” enjoyed a meteoric rise through a single season in the minors, and he hit the ground running in the majors, batting .397 as a September call-up in 2005. His 2006 MLB rookie season was a real blast, with 20 homers, and 110 RBI, and the “sophomore jinx” missed him completely, as his 2007 campaign was equally as impressive as he his debut season. Both of the offered bats date from his first two full seasons with the Nationals, when Zimmerman was shaping up as the ideal third baseman. “Zim” played his entire 17-year MLB career with the Nationals, and he set numerous franchise records throughout his tenure, which was crowned by a World Series championship in 2019.

Both of these crack-free Max Bat black bats are labeled “Model RZ11, Ryan Zimmerman, Washington Nationals” on the barrels. Both bats have Zimmerman’s uniform number “11” written on the knob, and both show excellent signs of authentic game use, including considerable gripping agent residue on the upper handles, and multiple contact marks on the barrels. One bat is signed (“8”) on the barrel in silver, with the inscription “Game Used 2007”. This bat comes with an MLB sticker for the signature, and a PSA/DNA sticker for game use. While the LOA from PSA/DNA is absent, a website printout indicates a PSA/DNA game use grade of (GU 8). The other bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA, with a stated rookie era labeling period of "2006-2007", and a game use grade of (GU 8).
