Lot # 1036: 2010 Derek Jeter & Mariano Rivera Single-Signed Game Used Baseballs Pair with Game-Used Yankee Stadium Dirt Display Case - Steiner & MLB Holograms

Two of the greatest New York Yankees of the modern era, “The Captain” Derek Jeter and the greatest reliever, Mariano Rivera, are the subject of this display case with two game-used baseballs, each signed by the teammates.  The pentagon-shaped glass case has 5x7 sides and the base is studded with actual dirt from Yankee Stadium. The plaque on the base reads “Derek Jeter #2 New York Yankees Shortstop - Mariano Rivera #42 New York Yankees Closer - This Case Contains Authentic Game-Used Dirt.”  The two OML/Selig displayed inside have varying degrees of dirt marks and game use. The Mariano Rivera signature grades (“9”) and the Derek Jeter signature is an (“8”). Both balls have MLB holograms for game use, and Steiner holograms for the signatures and the dirt. A beautiful display commemorating two players who left their hearts in the Yankee Stadium soil.
