Description

Outstanding early 2000s cap attributed to Seattle Mariners Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki. The navy blue cap with silver gray brim features the Mariners logo in the center. It matches the style of cap used by the team over a several year period during the early 2000s and up until 2015 for batting practice, including during Ichiro's iconic rookie year campaign of 2001. Central to the attribution of this piece is the number "51" marked on the inside of the cap in black marker. The cap is in overall excellent condition, exhibiting little to no wear on the exterior and only obvious signs of usage, such as sweat stains, in the trim and underside of the brim. The New Era cap is a size 7, which is consistent with other Ichiro caps on the secondary market. This is a very attractive piece very likely dating to the early days of a legendary Hall of Fame career. LOA from Phil Wood.
