Lawyer and philanthropist, Bill Shea, was instrumental in getting New York it’s National League franchise. This Official Dedication Magazine of Shea Stadium, April 17th, 1964, is signed on the cover on the blue banner at the top by Bill Shea. Because it's on the blue, it's difficult to see at first, a (“6-7”) signature. One inside page has a letter from the Mayor of New York, Robert Wagner. That page is signed in pencil, “To David, best wishes, Robert Wagner” (“5-6”). The chairman of the Mets, M. Donald Grant, has signed by his photo on the inside, “Donald Grant” in pencil (“6-7”). The magazine itself is still nice on the inside, while the cover and spine have wear. Overall condition is Good to Very Good.
Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
