One of Marvel's greatest super-villains made his first appearance in this 7/63 Amazing Spider-Man #3 issue. This early Spider-Man saga introduced Dr. Otto Octavius, better known as Doctor Octopus. Linked to a quartet of mechanical arms by means of a brain-computer connection, Octavius fused with his deadly tentacles during a work explosion. As part of the fusion, the myopic mad scientist became telepathically linked to the tentacles, making him a dangerous win some-lose some match in his many battles with Spider-Man. As if he weren't deadly enough, Doc Ock founded the Sinister Six super-villain team to the great torment of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and he is considered one of the best villains in the history of comic books. An important Silver Age key issue, the offered ASM #3 comic is encapsulated by CGC with a grade of 2.5, Off-White Pages. Label notes are "Stan Lee story, Steve Ditko cover and art. Origin and 1st appearance of Doctor Octopus (Otto Octavius). Human Torch appearance."
