Description

An early Joe DiMaggio signature surfaces, with this 1930s-1940s signed cut. You'd be hard pressed to find a ballplayer who enjoyed a better start to his career, than the "Yankee Clipper", During his seven MLB seasons prior to enlisting for WWII military service, DiMaggio was a 5X World Series champion, a 7X All-Star, a 2X MVP, and a 2X batting champ. He finished in the top ten in MVP voting every year from 1936-1942, and he drove in well over a hundred runs in each of those seasons. In between all that baseball glory, DiMaggio still found time to sign autographs, including this liquid ink roller example. Located on an irregularly trimmed 4" x 1-1/2" section of thin cardboard stock, this signature rates as ("7.5"). This cut is affixed to a 4-1/2" x 3" album page, which remains crisp and clean.
