Celebrate the Baseball Hall of Fame"s 1936 inaugural class anytime you like with this 1991 Cooperstown Bat Co. "First Five" complete set of five bats and wood wall-mount rack. Packed in the original "Hall of Fame Gift Shop" unopened shipping carton, this untouched set has never seen the light of day. Each bat is reported as being housed in an individual box, as is the display rack. The illustrious HOFers honored by this prestigious set are the first ever to be enshrined in the renowned Cooperstown museum: Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson and Walter Johnson. Each commemorative bat is decorated in elaborate fashion, with a full length image of one of the subjects and pertinent career highlights taking up a considerable section of the barrel, while the factory label at the center and the HOF logo on the handle are also quite distinctive. Completing the design, the display rack header proudly proclaims the set title "First Five," signaling to the world the subject of this magnificent set.
