Lot # 1280: Joe DiMaggio Single-Signed Limited Edition Bat with "Yankee Clipper" Inscription - Yankee Clipper LOA

One of Joe DiMaggio's last autographs arrives, with this single-signed and inscribed limited-edition bat. DiMaggio has boldly signed on the barrel of this like-new Louisville Slugger bat, and he has included the inscription "Yankee Clipper". The bat is also numbered 11/56 on the barrel. The accompanying Yankee Clipper LOA states DiMaggio signed this bat in the presence of his attorney Morris Engelberg, prior to January 1, 1999, and it was purchased by Shop At Home, Inc. in February, 1999. Widely considered one of the greatest players of all-time, DiMaggio passed away on March 8, 1999, and this bold, late life signature is truly impressive.
