Battle for the offered 1920s boxing collection of (55) strip cards featuring “The Manassa Mauler” and “The Boston Strong Boy.” These pugilists were clipped with varying degrees of perimeter and surface wear, with the majority averaging (FR to Good) condition with scattered instances of reverse writing. Designations include: (3) 1920s W529, (3) 1921 W551, (9) 1923 W515 (both large and small), (22) 1923 W580, (3) 1926 W511 Blue/Maroon Duotone, (8) 1926 W512 and (7) 1928 W513. Key subjects include: (5) Dempsey (1923 W515 Small, 1923 W580, (2) 1926 W511, 1926 W512), Sullivan (1923 W580) and Tunney (1926 W512).
