Lot # 1781: 1950s Victor Vending Corp. Ten Pins Bowling Alley 1¢ Gumball Machine

Roll the winning bid to capture this 1950s Victor Vending Corp Ten Pins Bowling Alley 1¢ gumball machine. On top of a tasty treat, this vintage countertop vending machine also gave you the chance to score a strike or a less desirable outcome, for the mere price of a penny. Standing 14” tall, with an 8-1/4” x 8-1/4” footprint, this nicely preserved gumball machine is a visual delight. The graphics painted on the back of the glass windowpane show fantastic integrity, the speckled gold particleboard case is sturdy, and the coin deposit knob, dispensing door and ball propelling pin all operate smoothly. Two keys accompany, with the lid key ready to open the black metal lid. However, the key for the front operating panel sticks, and we were unable to open the panel to retrieve our test penny, which is now a very small bonus for the winner. We returned the single gumball to the reservoir, to serve as a model for size, should you intend to fill her up, and we strongly recommend against consumption of said gumball.
