Nostalgia pervades this 1955 American League champion New York Yankees team-signed book. Published in 1955, this book titled "Yankee Batboy" was written by Joe Carrieri, as told to Zander Hollander. With the help of his older brother, Yankees ballboy Ralph Carrieri, Joe Carrieri got a job as a Yankees batboy in 1950 and stuck with it until 1955. Carrieri provides a field level view of the game during a period of great glory, that saw the Yankees with the World Series every season during the period 1950-1953, along with an AL pennant in 1955. A total of (44) firm signatures are found in this hardcover book. While the majority of signatures were provided by Yankees players, coaches and other personnel, including Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Bill Dickey and "Casey" Stengel and 1955 rookie Elston Howard, several are from period New York City reporters, and of course there's Carrieri himself.
