Description
Sports historians track an important moment in football history, with the examination of this pair of 1969 Super Bowl III souvenirs. Participating in this January 12, 1969 interleague championship game, were the AFL New York Jets and the NFL Baltimore Colts. Jets quarterback Joe Namath famously guaranteed a win for the Jets leading up to the big game. When Namath and the Jets made go on the guarantee, it was big boost to the AFL's profile, going a long way to legitimizing the upstart League. From this historic Super Bowl, comes this pair of gameday souvenirs, with: white variety Super Bowl III ticket stub graded PSA GOOD 2; and Super Bowl III program Vg-Ex due to a corner fold crease on the back cover, otherwise it presents a bit better.
