Description

Eye-rolling Eddie Cantor was one of the pioneer media stars, the first to reach massive stardom in records, movies, and television. He was also a philanthropist who came up with the title “The March of Dimes.” He was a union activist and a songwriter who wrote “Merrily We Roll Along,” the theme song for the classic Warner Brothers cartoons.

 

1)  Eddie Cantor 3 ½ x 2 ½ cut signature (“9-10”).

2)  Eddie Cantor Signed Typewritten Letter dated February 10, 1964, addressed to Miss Elizabeth Bowers of Atlanta, GA. The note thanks her for her interest in his welfare and gives insight into what his later life was like. Signed (“9-10”) in ballpoint.

3)  Eddie Cantor Signed Index Card (“9-10”) matted to 2 ½ x 4. The 11x14 matting also includes an 8x7 b&w photo of the artist.

Also included is a 12x9 sheet music (VG-EX), featuring Eddie Cantor on the cover, for one of his hits “Saturday” by Gus Kahn, Raymond Egan and Richard A Whiting.

Plus a 7 ½ x 9 ½ Supplement of the Philadelphia Record from January 31st, 1937, featuring the great Mr. Cantor.
