Description

Baltimore fixtures from the days of Memorial Stadium, Johnny Unitas and Crown Gasoline teamed up on this extremely rare point-of-sale ad display. Framed and matted to overall 18-5/8 x 26" dimensions, this colorful 13x20 decal depicts the unmistakable quarterback with his trademark crew cut. Atop the display, the printed legend reads: “JOHNNY UNITAS – Quarterback, NFL Champions,” which dates the display to 1969. This was intended for display on pumps at Crown stations, but was never distributed. The decal remains adhered to its original sheet and shows expected age-induced toning.
