Description

Baseball's all-time leading pitcher makes an impressive appearance, with the offering of this "Cy" Young signed sheet of stationery. A beautiful presentation, this 6" x 8-1/2" page is adorned with a floral banner and a firm signature by the Hall of Fame hurler. With a mind-blowing total of 511 wins to his credit, Young (d.1955) owns an important career record that will likely never be broken. During his 22-season MLB career, the durable Young topped the 300 innings pitched mark sixteen times. His heaviest workload came in 1892, when he logged an astonishing 453 innings on the mound for the Cleveland Spiders. Perhaps someday we'll see a robot pitcher match Young's numbers, but no mere mortal is ever going there.
