Description
Historic game-changer Jackie Robinson makes a welcome appearance, with this signed government postcard. Robinson (HOF, d.1972) has signed boldly in conclusion of a brief typed note on the card back, expressing thanks and well wishes to a fan. A postmark on the front is dated June 23, 1953, indicating Robinson satisfied this autograph request during the height of his triumphant MLB playing career, in a season he batted .329 for the National League champion Brooklyn Dodgers.
