A complete run of “The Sporting News” from 1961 have been beautifully bound in two massive 12x17 hardbound albums. The pages are mostly all complete and in superior condition though they show a few clippings and potential for missing pages, otherwise they have high visual appeal. All the stories of the 1961 season are represented with names like Frank Robinson, Warren Spahn, Roberto Clemente, and of course the race between Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris to pass Babe Ruth's home run record.
