Cap and Bucky take a trip to the Far East, in this 3/43 Timely Comics Captain America Comics #24 issue. Published at the height of WWII, this rousing issue sees Cap come to the rescue of Bucky, who is depicted on the front cover defiantly withstanding a cruel Oriental finger torture at the hands of the Black Dragon Society. The mastermind behind this Golden Age classic, is none other than the great Stan Lee, who gets credit for the story. Fans of the cover can their give thanks to Syd Shores. Despite hole-punches along the spine and other moderate attrition, this wartime comic has earned a respectable grade of 2.5, Cream to Off-White Pages from CGC. Label notes are "Stan Lee story, Bob Oksner art, Syd Shores cover. Human Torch backup story.".
