Description

Cover both angles of the 1933 World Series with this pair of attractive programs. Participants the New York Giants and the Washington Senators are both represented, with a program version for each team. Both squads boasted deep, talented rosters, including Hall of Famers "Goose" Goslin, Joe Cronin, Sam Rice and Heinie Manush for Washington, and Mel Ott, Carl Hubbell, Bill Terry and Travis Jackson for New York. In the end, the Giants pitching was the difference maker, as "King Carl" Hubbell and "Prince Hal" Schumacher proved too much for the Senators formidable lineup to handle. Both programs are scored, with: the Giants program recorded with results for their 6-1 win in Game 2 at the Polo Grounds on 10/4/33; and the Senators program recorded with the results for their only win of the Series, a 4-0 victory in Game 3 at Griffith Stadium on 10/5/33. Both programs are solid Vg examples.
