Make it a done deal, when you score this 1933 Ossie Bluege contract and photograph pair. 1933 was literally a banner year for the Washington Senators, as they captured the American League pennant, with a strong contribution from Bluege. Titled "American League of Professional Baseball Clubs Uniform Player's Contract", the four-page agreement sealed the deal for the 1933 campaign, with Bluege's salary for the season entered as "$7,500". Bluege (d.1985) and the Senators Hall of Fame owner Clark Griffith (d.1955) have both signed potently at the bottom of page two, with the date entered as "16th day of January, A.D. 1933". Accompanying is an Acme news service 5" x 7" photograph of Bluege in uniform. This crisp, clean photograph is somewhat rippled but still presents handsomely. The back is stamp dated "Oct 8 1933", and an affixed blurb dated "9/19/33" states in part "With the American League Pennant Winners, Ossie Bluege Third Baseman of the Washington Senators".
