Description

Beautifully preserved onsite fight program from the historic October 26, 1970 Muhammad Ali vs. Jerry Quarry bout held at Atlanta Municipal Auditorium, which represented Ali’s triumphant return to the ring after a three-year exile from boxing. Graded CGC 7.5 (Near Mint–), this example stands as the highest graded copy ever evaluated, an extraordinary survivor from one of the sport’s most culturally significant nights. The 32-page program features an iconic and striking cover illustration of Ali and Quarry. The glossy covers retain excellent colors and surface, showing only light corner touches consistent with careful preservation. This fight program symbolized Ali’s reemergence as a global icon and the dawn of a new era in heavyweight boxing. Scarce in any condition, and virtually unheard of in such a high state of preservation. A premier example from one of the most meaningful nights in boxing and American cultural history.
