Tune into Ed Norton’s favorite TV character, with the viewing of this 2/51 Fawcett Publications Captain Video #1 issue. Norton was seen wearing a space helmet, as he sat mesmerized watching the Captain Video show in the very first episode of “The Honeymooners”, such was the popularity of this early Sci-Fi series. Aired nightly on the DuMont Television Network, "Captain Video and His Video Rangers" enjoyed a lengthy broadcast run from 1949-1955 and spawned a six-issue Fawcett comic book run in 1951. The offered Golden Age key #1 issue boasts an impressive CGC grade of 9.0, Off-White Pages. This rating stands as the high score on CGC’s Pop Report, as “1 of 1”, with none higher. The ray gun wielding Captain and his Video Ranger sidekick are pictured on the front cover of this glorious #1 issue, in a fantastic example of early 1950s Sci-Fi entertainment.
