Description

Smiling mascots form a friendly group, in this 1966-1971 round gold base bobblehead selection (5). There’s no denying the off the charts display appeal of these classic figures, which represent their teams in merry fashion. All have jersey decals, and all but one have Sport Specialties stickers. The gold base series is noted for poor paint quality and decal chipping. This exciting group bucks the trend, with bold paint, and generally strong decal integrity.

Featured are:

New York Mets Mr. Met bank with sticker, “Japan” stamp, and rubber stopper, is a sporty, handsome fellow in Nm condition, with minimal traces of wear.

Cincinnati Reds Mr. Red with sticker is a vibrant piece that rates as Ex due to hairline cracks on the back of the head, otherwise he’s very handsome.

Chicago Cubs Cub with sticker is a very attractive Nm example, with bold colors, and just a pinpoint factory flaw on the right sleeve.

Cleveland Indians Chief Wahoo with white uniform and sticker is Ex-Mt+ due to a paint split on top of the right ear, otherwise he’s very handsome.

Cleveland Indians Chief Wahoo with yellow uniform and no sticker presents handsomely in showing Nm details, but appears to have been restored around the head opening.
