This “Official Uniform Player's Contract of All American Girls Baseball League” is dated October 24, 1947, and is made out to Alice Pollitt granting her a salary of $65 per week to play for the Rockford Peaches, the most famous team in the league. The contract is signed on the last page by “Margaret A. Pollitt” and League President, Max Carey. The four-page contract is in Good to Very Good condition with small tape repairs and is from the height of the popularity of woman's league made famous by the movie “A League of Their Own” with Tom Hanks. Infielder Pollitt was an All-Star in the league, and this contract has the additional signature of Baseball Hall of Famer, Max Carey. Both signatures are (“9-10”).
