Rare coin pursuers make a strong play for this fairly scarce 1897 $10 Liberty Head gold coin. While a little over a million coins of this particular date were originally struck at the Philadelphia Mint, only a little more than 1% are estimated to have surivived. When considering uncirculated examples, the survival rate is less than 1% of the original mintage. This handsome coin falls in to the uncirculated category, with an MS62 grade designated by NGC.
