A Silver Age key issue heats up the scene, with this 9/65 Marvel Amazing Spider-Man #28 comic book. This scorching comic features the first appearance of Molten Man. Like so many other Marvel characters, chemical engineer Mark Raxton was transformed in an accident, that left him covered in an experimental organic liquid metal alloy. Absorbed into his body, this material gave him a metal skin, and the ability to generate both high heat, and radiation. Sort of a cross between the Human Torch and Colossus, the Molten Man began his comic career as an enemy in this vintage Amazing Spider-Man issue, though he would later become a friend and sometimes ally of Spidey. This nicely preserved first appearance comic is encapsulated by CGC with a desirable grade of (6.5, Off-White to White Pages). Label notes are "Stan Lee and Steve Ditko story. Steve Ditko cover and art. Origin and 1st appearance of the Molten Man (Mark Raxton). Peter Parker graduates high school.".
