Description

Franklin D. Roosevelt comes calling from the distant past with this signed State of New York Executive Mansion invitation card. Having been elected to office for four consecutive terms, FDR is our longest tenured president, with a little over 12 years on the job. This 5" x 3-1/4" is printed with the legend "State of New York Executive Office Albany" and an embossed gold seal. Prior to his first term as president, Roosevelt served as governor of New York from 1929-1932, and this heavy stock card was signed during his term as the Empire State's 44th governor. His implement of choice in this signing was a steel-tip fountain pen, and the result is a stately "8" strength signature, well-suited for framed display.
