A prized coin leads the way in this selection of two NGC graded Buffalo nickels. Renowned throughout the numismatic world, the 1937-D Buffalo nickel with 3 Legs is famous among even the most casual collectors. As a result of an excessively polished die, this legendary coin was struck with the front leg of the reverse side Buffalo missing, while the other details generally show prominently, including the hoof of the absent leg. Here we have a pleasing circulated example of the mega-popular 1937-D 3 Legs Buffalo nickel, which has recently been graded VF25 by NGC. Joined with this scarce key date coin is a splendid 1936 Buffalo nickel, also just back from NGC, with a gem uncirculated grade of MS65.
