Description

The Baltimore Colts Super Bowl V win is celebrated in grand fashion, with this 1970 salesman's sample 10K gold ring. Engraved with a Jostens hallmark and 10K symbol inside the band, this hefty piece of championship jewelry weighs in at a whopping 36.8 grams. The face is adorned with a CZ stone set in a high relief Colts horseshoe logo, studded with blue chips. These adornments are set against a blue background, with gold lettering that reads "Baltimore Colts" above and "World Champions" below. The left shank bears the name of franchise legend Johnny Unitas above a Colts helmet with horseshoe logo. Seen beneath the helmet is the result of the big game, with "Colts - 16, Cowboys - 13." The right shank is dated "1970," with two numbers of the date on either side of the iconic Lombardi Trophy. Residing below the trophy is the Super Bowl V logo, and all design elements on both shanks are fashioned in relief. Though the Colts won the NFL Championship in 1958, 1959 and 1968, this was their first and only Super Bowl win while calling the City of Baltimore home. A magnificent treasure, this ring is an impressive statement piece, in search of a home with a proud fan of the NFL's main stage event.
